Using digital photos and optical imaging, Dr. Yu can create a model of your teeth with or without the use of molds. Using the digital image created, he can discuss how to acheive the look you are envisioning. Once he has completed the improvements to your diagnostic mock-up, it will be transferred to the technical experts at our laboratory for creation of your porcelain veneers.

With the use of composite materials, your provisionals can be bonded to your teeth so you can preview your new veneers for a few weeks. During this time, cosmetic dentist Dr. Yu will use his experience as a dentist to ensure your Porcelain Veneers fit you and function precisely. Any minor changes required can be made to these temporaries, adding to or subtracting from them.

When you are fully satisfied with the look and fit of your veneers, the lab will manufacture your permanent restorations - including any changes you and Dr. Yu have decided upon. When doing a large number of veneers the laboratory will manufacture them so that all of the teeth will have a uniform color and look.

Dr. Yu then conservatively performs the tooth preparation - only removing what is necessary and preserving as much healthy tooth surface as possible. How much tooth surface will be removed varies from tooth to tooth, and often ranges from 1/4mm to 3/4mm. Our dental practice understands your concerns about conservative dentistry.
