Once, I went to another dentist who was on my insurance plan. The other dentist could not manage doing a simple filling without pain. I've never had pain when I've had work done with Dr. Yu. He does cavity fillings. So I went back and never left again.

Dr. Yu is a very gentle doctor who really cares about patients and looks at the long-term plan for your teeth. He understands how your bite works when you're eating.

He is very good about trying to prevent future problems and shows you the problem. He always tries to keep up on newer techniques and ways to do things, like using the latest technologies.

He's not really close to us, and his new office is even further, but that still won't make us go away to someone else. We're still gonna see him.

The staff is helpful in terms of insurance, and whenever I have any question on the insurance, they're only too happy to help me. They're very understanding and very cheerful, always joking around.

I don't ever leave the office and think that my bite is not right when he's done a filling. He'll spend time with me to make sure it's right.

He explains exactly what he's going to do, and he doesn't make you feel uncomfortable because of your fears. Not only that, but he understands and deals with them in a way that kind of gets you over your fears.

He hires really good help too. And yet, after the hygienist does my cleaning, he still comes in and gets the pick and goes the extra mile. He always wants to make sure that it's absolutely perfect.

Even though I work in a hospital, I'm afraid of going to the dentist. Dr. Yu knows that and he's always really gentle with me. He pays attention to how I'm doing and asks me if I need a break during long procedures.

I love the movies. With the headphones on, watching and listening to the movie, I'm a lot more relaxed. I think every dentist should do that.

I like it that he's always doing training and learning new things. The way they used to do things may have been the best they had then. But now there are new technologies that can let dentists do things faster with results that are just as good. And Dr. Yu keeps up with all that.

He's more interested in getting a good result for his patients than in getting more work. If that means he has to send you someplace else, he will.

I had a small chip in a tooth for a couple years by the time I met Dr. Yu. Nobody else had ever been able to fix it right. He fixed that and everything else, and it was great.

He's just a wonderful, wonderful person and he's a good dentist, and he's so caring. He always talks to me and asks me how I'm doing.

I've always hated going to the dentist, and I enjoy going to see him. He's never hurt me in 22 years, and he's done some serious gum work on me.

The whole office staff, the assistants and specialists, all work together so well. You have this feeling when you walk through the door that you're walking into a very friendly place.

He's looking for a better way to treat his patients. Anything he can do that's going to be less hurtful. The main thing in his eyes, is to give his patients the best care he can, and in order to do this, he's going back to school.

You can just tell the staff enjoys what they're doing, and they're a great team. He has had very little change in his staff in all these years. People stay with him. I think that says a lot.

He's willing to take suggestions from his staff, and to accept their knowledge. They're very professional.

He's had to do some surgery on me and I've had no problems whatsoever. I didn't even have to take any pain pills. He is emphatic about making sure I'm comfortable after having a serious procedure. I have never felt like I'm on my own. They are always there for me. Always.

Nobody enjoys going to the dentist, and I guess I don't either. But I enjoy the people there, and I know I'm getting the best care anybody can get.

He is very particular. He looks at everything. He's very careful with his work.

He goes through every detail and checks that everything is right and is done accurately and precisely. Other dentists go too fast to try to finish the job.

My other dentist told me my mouth was very good but Dr. Yu showed me some problems I had and corrected them. Either the other dentist didn't notice it or didn't bother to look. He was just in a hurry to see more patients.

Dr. Yu really pays attention and spends time with each patient. He schedules to have enough time to take care of each patient completely.

One time, my wife was in a lot of pain on a Sunday and he went to the office and opened just for her. He met us there, did the job for her, and it was a big relief. You don't see that much any more.

Nobody can believe I fly from Hawaii to see the dentist. I've just had too many bad experiences with other dentists in the past. Now that I've found a good one, I'm sticking with him.

He's a perfectionist. He won't do just anything to get you out the door.

I grind my teeth at night, and got mouth guards from Dr. Yu. My TMJ went away and stopped popping very time I opened my mouth and hurting when I chewed.

My oldest daughter is scared crazy of dentists, but she has no trouble going to him.

He took everything in the right steps. If we hadn't, it would have been hard to go backwards and change things. So he thought it through, talked to me, and planned it out.

Dr. Yu was really good at explaining about my TMJ. He told me that muscle is overstretched, and sleeping with the mouth guard helps the muscle learn to relax.

If you have any fear of dentists, Dr. Yu is the one to go to. If you want satisfaction, he's very much a perfectionist.

I have lots of work in my mouth, but I have a wonderful smile now!

He likes what he's doing; I can sense that.

I recently had an implant done and before we did it, he showed me a video describing the procedure. He also spent a lot of time going over every little detail and will not hesitate to spend as much time as you want to understand what he’s talking about.

I've told everyone this but they don't believe me: he's never, ever hurt me...even when he did gum surgery.

When my mom had implants, she was swollen and in pain for weeks. I was really scared of mine. But the first night after the surgery, he called to see if I was doing okay, and I was fine. By the next day I was eating.
